Social media imemepea bonobo an astonishing sense of false activism and democratic power. Mdomo tu Twitter na Facebook, while crooks loot countries dry. They think taunting and abusing these leaders on social makes a dent. They think you can replace street demonstrations and protests with a bunch of tweets. People need to read history and things like French revolution and see how hard other civilisations have fought for their freedoms. I don’t intend to argue that Europe is better but rather to show the efforts they have put.
They know hii venting on socials means it will be hard for any revolution to be executed. Therefore it makes it good for the despot cos anaeza gauge wasee vile wanafeel way before being surprised by a revolution
tweeting is better than doing nothing. the arab spring was fueled by social media. all over the world autocrats are very afraid of social media . Africa tu ndio mumekalia akili
Those in power just love social media because it provides an outlet for peoples frustrations.
Instead of going to the streets people go to social media.
Me thinks the real motivation of the Arab revolution was the gift of 72 virgins in the afterlife that muslim believers are promised. Thats why this cant work other countries. You see the Qur’an tells us that Muslims arriving in Paradise will be married with newly created beings, whom no man or jinn has opened their hymens with sexual intercourse before. Uncle hata kama ni wewe i guess utajichoma ndio ukienda paradise ukule mali safi ambayo ujasalimiana na mtu
It’s not about virgins or Twitter. I attribute the Arab Spring to temperament. Arabs are generally rebellious, emotional, quick-tempered and no-nonsense by nature while Africans are generally sheepish and obedient.
