Littering in Kenya should be crime

Banaa.
Michelin mpya imekatwa kwa side wall. Hakuna repair.

fines hazisaidii, there are people who simply break the law coz they can afford to. Inafaa punishments ziwe public humiliation. Ukiangusha wrapper unafagia the whole street, ukitema mate ovyo ulamba pavement yote, literally

Kama kanjo would work on them the way they do hawkers…Kenya would have been the cleanest country in Africa!!!

I do recall when the Pangani drift underpass was opened to traffic, there was rubbish blocking the drainage outlets. Yoghurt cans, water bottles, karatasi za mabaki ya miwa na matunda. But when it floods ,the same people trashing the environment are the first to sing ‘city council’ blah blah. Discipline would have given better results.

nakumbuka pale gardencity nikiwa kwa jam, jamaa alifungua kioo akatoa mkono atupe empty yoghurt bottle, nikateremsha kioo nikamwambia jaribu kutupa hio mkebe uone ukiokota ukipiga nduru…jamaa got shocked kwanza vile aliona my dash cam… akaniambia sawa mkubwa polee.

I saw a video where someone threw a watermelon rind out of his car window in traffic and another motorist picked it and threw it back through the window and ran back to his car. The litterer was did nothing, I don’t know if it was a prank but I think that is how they should be treated .

@gerh ngo i hate to see people littering. kwanza tena pale parking ya naivas kasarani, mama mwingine anafungua boot aweke shopping
akaanza kutoa all takataka ilikuwa kwa boot, magazeti mzee, empty bottoles ,magazines akitupa chini…nilimwambia roho safi amake sure ameziokota
she did,

It’s apparent very few Kenyans think about the environment and how their actions affect it. The “it’s someone else’s problem” mentality abounds.
