LINUX UBUNTU TOO BRIGHT

Anyone using Ubuntu. How do you handle the intense brightness, especially the white colour being too shiny.

Nimejaribu lowering the screen brightness, but the white is just too intense. You can’t read websites with white text.

Sitaki dark mode. Just a way to reduce the shiny white

Mkuu install redshift it introduce some night light settings

if it is hard try this, enda hapo kwa setting then display, turn night light on set times, peleka night light to more warm na iyo slider.view image for more clarity

maybe its the contrast setting ya monitor, but sijaelewa hapo kwa reading white text on websites - if the text is white it will not be legible

I meant the white background ya most sites.

The white shines too bright

I already enabled this, but it seems not to work.

Ama I need to play with font sizing and scaling?

I am using a 14" screen

I dont know what could be the reason why is not working, try restarting your laptop,it should work the night light might work, font size is not the issue

Thanks. Let me play with it to find the ideal spot.

Naona it helps kidogo

Night vision solved the issue.

But I am now experiencing another issue.

When browsing, sometimes the screen flickers once or twice.

I didn’t have such an issue on windows

driver issues or your display cable is loose physically, first check which graphics you are using install its drivers, restart,if it fails its either the display cable is loose or your laptop is failing generally(kubeat)
