Mombasa County Commissioner Nelson Marwa who visited the crossing channel urged employers not to punish workers who reported late as a result of the transport crisis. Mr Marwa said the Kenya Ferry Services (KFS) management has failed in delivering services and called for the sacking of Managing Director Musa Hassan Musa. "There are things that are being hidden from us and the MD must go,” he said. A tourist heading to the Mombasa International Airport said he had spent more than three hours in the snarl-up. "I am from Diani and this is my second time I have been caught up in this crisis. “I am worried that I might not manage to catch my flight at 10am,” said Mr Stefan Schmitt, a German national.
