The long awaited Likoni Bridge design renders are out for consideration and public participation forums are set to begin on the same. Its a joint Kenya Gov-Jica project where JICA will provide funds for the build. The winning bidders most likely limited to Japanese companies only will operate the bridge on PPP format where motorist will pay a fixed fee to use the bridge.

Will the bridge be high enough to allow ships to pass under or will it open at the middle like the london bridge to allow ships to pass?
