I don’t know how to say this in a way that pleases God, but lately I’m not sure whether living in this day and age can be considered a “blessing.” Things are becoming very hard worldwide. My cousin’s one year death anniversary was this week, from cancer. As the remembrances were flowing in yesterday, I wondered whether they have really missed out on anything? Things have become progressively worse but lucky them, they are not even new comers in heaven anymore. Imagine getting used to heaven while we are suffering down here. He died pain free surrounded by loving family as they sang Christian songs and angels received him into heaven. What of those who are dying right now in Lebanon, Israel, Gaza, Ukraine, Congo, Nigeria, Sudan, Mozambique?? They have no last rites or morphine to ease the pain.
Has the tribulation started? Look at how our country’s laws have been trashed by the President and how corruption is threatening the very existence of our land.
Who shall we turn to except you Lord?
You alone are our strength. My hope lies in the Lord.
