jane in dilemma after she made a terrible mistake.I am currently living in my sister’s house in Pangani. For the past 3 months I have been in a relationship with a man I thought he was a senior manager of a bank.Japhet had told me he is a director in Bank of Africa.
We started our relationship in November 2017 after he visited my sister’s hotel in Nairobi CBD.Japhet was dressed in a black suit,he was carrying car keys.He came and ordered chicken fry and ugali, and later fresh juice. While he was taking lunch, he called me into his table and we started chatting,a brief chat though. During the conversation, I ended up giving him my contacts, it was after he indicated he is a senior manager at the Bank of Africa.
After he completed eating, he paid Ksh1,000 and told me to keep change. He promised to call later.
That afternoon he called and we chatted for almost 20 minutes. I told him I did Bachelor of Commerce from KU and I am currently jobless. He gave me email address and promised to help me secure employment in the bank.I was happy that my dreams had come true.
We kept communicating until I learnt he is from Ugenya,I also told him I am from Karatina. It’s after we became so close that I accepted to meet him in town.I remember it was a Saturday afternoon we agreed to meet in Java Mama Ngina Street. That day I made sure I was my self-best because I was meeting a senior manager, who would probably become my husband. I arrived at 3 pm,but he was a bit late, so he told me to take anything as I wait for him.I ordered for coffee and snacks. While as I waited, a black Toyota V8 snaked into the parking, and it was my ‘boyfriend’. I stood and went straight to the door to welcome him. We warmly hugged each other and proceeded to the far corner of the room where I had been sitting.
The meeting lasted for 3 hours and we parted ways at around 7pm…he actually escorted me to Pangani where we live. What I liked about him is that he had a good heart, he gave me Ksh10,000 as pocket money and told me,”babe,I will do everything to make you happy”. I thought I had met an angel.
The following week we arranged for a date. He told me to meet him at Kencom where Bank of Africa branch is located. Indeed I got him there, entered into the car and we proceeded to Machakos where we spent a night. But there’s one thing he did to me which left me worried. He did not carry condoms but he told me he is in need of a wife and that if I need HIV screening, he is very ready for it.He said being a manager, he is not exposed to the lifestyle of a common man, hence lack of interaction with many women.
After the night, he drove me to Pangani the following day and left. It’s after few weeks I leant that I had gotten pregnant. After realizing so,I broke the news to Japhet and thought he would be excited since he indicated he wanted a child.Immediately I called him,he hanged up and blocked me.I tried to call him again but in vain.Since I knew where he works,I went straight to the bank but I only learnt he was a driver and that he had been sacked because of reporting to work late.
My greatest issue is that last week I went for HIV test and received the saddest news, which has forced me to write this. I am HIV positive, pregnant and I can’t trace Jared. If you’re in a position to give me advice, please help me.I don’t see the purpose of living.
