GSU Officers Foil✋ Al Shabaab Attack in Mandera
GSU officers at the Dabacity camp in Mandera repulsed al Shabaab militants who attempted to attack the camp on Monday night.
Policeman Vincent Makau spotted the militants approaching the camp in a group at around 8 pm and opened fire at them.
Other officers joined him and successfully repulsed the attackers.
Northern Kenya police commander Paul Soi says no officer was injured in the botched attack.
“We are still gathering details of what happened but no one was hurt on our side,” Soi said.
