Yaani watu wake wakifinywa ndiyo anataka dialogue:
[INDENT][I]West Pokot Senator John Lonyangapuo has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to help end banditry attacks in Baringo through dialogue.
He was with Civil Aviation Authority chairman Samuel Poghisio, Kapenguria MP Samuel Moroto and his Sigor counterpart Phillip Rotino during a funds drive on Saturday to buy a school bus for Masol Secondary School.
“President, please call us. We want to tell our people to embrace peace. All governors, senators, MPs and MCAs should come together and hold a peace caravan,” Lonyangapuo said.
The leaders said through talks, the elected leaders will end sporadic attacks which have claimed more than 20 lives in the past four weeks.
Moroto called on the government to stop the ongoing operation in Baringo and Laikipia counties, accusing KDF soldiers of torturing residents.
