Sheila Kawira Mwirichia, a Kenyan LGBTIQ activist was found dead in her apartment two weeks ago. Though a civil engineer by training she was better known for her work as an artist:

You ought to understand that it’s not so much about news or headlines. This more about highlighting and bringing to the fore the travails of a community that’s treated as an invisible fringe group in a strange country full of moral hypocrisy. And it’s not 2 months old, only 2 weeks.

It’s a Me… Me… Me… Complex that is the downside of a liberal/hedonistic culture. People are quite insecure and will latch on to any cause in order to seek an identity.
