Only The Qur’an has the “gold standard”, in Islam there is no middle path, it’s either yes or no. If you for one today wore police uniform and called yourself a cop, would that make you one? No! One can’t say he’s a Muslim and practice things that are not part of the religion and continue calling himself a Muslim.
