In form 1 I only used to hit the showers once a week and less often in July, Kikuyu is terribly cold and then water from Ondiri swamp used to bounce off the body, it was impossible to get wet. One could enter a shower cubicle and leave without wetting their back… I don’t know if the water from Ondiri still has those peculiar properties…

Inakaa wewe ni wa kitambo basi. Livingstone was rebuilt in the 90s and it was the only house with hot showers. The rest kama kawaida wanaoga na jerry cans za juice, the ones that would be used to do morning work too.
