Larry was a fine journalist with an incisive and catchy style that would have seen him go really far in the Kenyan space. His star fizzled out when he became openly pro-ODM during the Raila sham swearing in process. He was smart enough to bail out before he was booted. I wish he had a mentor then, to guide him out of that self destruction. His subsequent stint at BBC was colorless and short.

He has the smarts to finish off his studies and rejoin the Kenyan space again. There is something extremely sweet about being successful in Kenya. Huko majuu, the candy always comes wrapped in triple layers of polythene
