-Taken apart the device and blown fan and other related components using canned air
-Reapplied thermal paste to cpu and gpu
-Deleted unnecessary tasks in scheduler
-Cleaned interior thouroughly
-Flashed a newer bios

Has anyone resolved this kind of problem? This thing can get someone kicked out of an office or library.

Have you tried changing the fan? it could be on its way out and in some instances it becomes noisy

Took the whole thing apart. Fan itself shows no physical defects. Maybe its something I can look into.

What’s that? I’m using Speedfan na I’m not able to make any changes to fan settings. CPU idles at between 55c-59c and this bothers me a lot because when workload increases, the cpu starts to thermal throttle, drastically limiting its performance.

Your fan is misfiring, just making noise and not spinning. You need a replacement. I had a similar issue with a Folio

CPU is overheating because the fan is not actually spinning even though you hear a lot of rumbling noise

If I am to believe Speedfan, the fan is spinning. It shows the current RPMs. Anyway, majority are saying the same thing so I’ll probably be looking at a fan replacement soon.
