Now,I have never had keen interest in our inherited land from our grandfather,it has always been my stand that the best way to have fuss free land is to buy your own land and do your own stuff, but ,and i know if this has never happened to you,you know someone who did,a certain auncle in our family claims all the land that was left behind to belong to him,he has even pocketed the area chief, the clan elder(chairman)and since the other brothers of his moved from that parcel and bought their own land the land now belongs to him,the land is in a prime(near a town centre )and i want to put up some rentals on it.How can i get the land to be subdivided using the intestate clause,is it even possible?the land has not been surveyed so no land number.Help a fellow mbirionaire out.

Mambo za chief being the law of the land ziliisha since constitution 2010. To be sure, even our sisters have a legitimate claim on inheritance.
Sue your uncle for your share and if he’s intelligent he will realise its easier to share the land than fighting and losing. Inform him that if he loses the fight he will have to pay your legal fees. That will make him think twice.
If the land is big enough then it’s worth it. Lakini kama ni 3 - 5 acres kwanza za huko Kitui I say work hard and buy your own land.
Report that chief to the ombudsman. Then file a case in Court.
