Lake Turkana flooding

Of the RV lakes that have swollen, has sea water been detected there ?

The swelling could be because of sea water getting into RV via underground paths.

E.g it is said the oil in middle east has an underground connection to oil in Egypt and Somalia.

We need more studies on what you just postulated. Possibility of leakage allowing ocean water to seep into the lakes. But I guess our proffesors and PhD guys are too lame for such.

I have not seen any effort from our professors anywhere on the ground taking samples and generally collecting any data for this… so they prefer to report what was written by others many years ago

Our proffesors ni wale tu wa kujigamba in pubs vile wamesoma. Our education system is a sham.

This one I agree with you 100%… I have seen lots of professors in the first world in overalls collecting samples and with measuring equipment on the ground…, wa hapa ni theatres and their cubicles… pure nonsense! Then they want to be paid more than anybody else!

The way it works is that our professors and PHDs have the expertise to know which wazungus to bring in to tell us what is happening.

Pure faeces!

Bring in wazungu. Just like the fact that we have been graduating engineers since independence but we invite certificate holders from China to build our roads and bridges. I hail our carpenters, nurses, doctors and teachers cause here we don’t seem to have a big problem

True, first to merge will be bogoria and baringo, if rate of expansion persists, next year dec Bogoria will greet Baringo.

Its already established Bogoria and Lake Nakuru are linked, maybe L.Baringo is equally linked too.

Stori ndio hiyo

Lake Baringo has already merged with the little known Lake 94. Anything is possible

I saw that on BBC

Hii ndio ilifanya mchinku afikishe SGR naivasha, the so named ‘dry port’ will not be so dry after all!!!

Hii story ya RV lakes swelling iko kwa news tena leo. Numbers of displaced people raising

how is it that these lakes are swelling so fast without any substantial rain? something serious is amiss. our geologists should be excited and doing ground breaking research but as someone said, they thrive in gossiping in bars.

How can half baked journalist hit the ground running so fast but our geologist wamekaa tu. They should be all over the place explaining/trying to explain what’s happening

@ChifuMbitika from my little geography, what happens when great volumes of soil and other debris is eroded into a water body?

Fanya hivi, chukua besheni, toboa chini maji itoke polepole. Jaza maji hapo nje, every few minutes, mwaga mchanga. Tell us what happens.

You mean we shall retain the Kavirondos?

From what I’m reading, lake 94 formed in 94. Enyewe, even our education iko nyuma sana. Instead of people updating curriculum with such info, they make some little modifications here and there to make money.

And, interestingly, on the flip side, Naivasha, Nakuru, Kimnarok and Elementaita are said to be on their last days.

That’s stupid.
