Laboso sister objects to husband to late Governor Laboso, Abonyo, inheriting her 100m property

I thought it was straight forward that when someone dies the spouse inherits the property. In this case Abonyo inherits Governor Laboso’s property. Why does the Laboso sister want to inherit her sisters property?

Marrying across tribes is not as easy as it seems

Hata wewe sis wako akinyuria awache 100M would you let her husband walk away with it just like that? In your mind you’ll start justifying why he doesn’t deserve it. Mambo ya inheritance huwa ngumu sana. Siblings who shared the same womb and were raised together still end up fighting over it bitterly. Sembuse in-laws?

So you wouldn’t have a problem disinheriting your nieces and nephews? That sister sounds like zile ghaseer hupeana promises kibao kwa funeral/burial. “We’ll always be here for you…msiwahi nyamaza mkiwa na shida, my door is always open…I’m never too busy for my sister’s children…I vow to take care of you just as she would”. Two weeks later anarusha watoto nje wakuwe machokosh.

Depends on their age and how I feel about them. Kama ni watoto wajinga kama wale wa Tuskys naiba hiyo pesa bila huruma.

That’s shitty entitlement. Your sister’s property should not bother you at all.

“married for 36 years” na bado the sister feels she is more deserving than the husband…awache upuzi.

Alafu Laboso should have drafted a will given that she died of cancer.

Maybe she thought she would never die

Maybe she has a will.

I hope she left one behind

Most probably.

Huyu obonyo aoe hiyo jeptoo… jeptoo amemnoki lakini.bonys ashiki.

This comment highlights a very important aspect ignored by many. Write a will. Make sure you always update next of kin details.
I also challenge any of you to visit this website and search your name and those of deceased relatives…

After you die. nothing matters at all.

A will would only benefit her sister if she was included. And even then, it would have to consider the husband first.

Wrong. If you have kids, something big matters when you die. Really matters. Forget spouses, your kids matter. The sista is not entitled to her assets. Her kids are.
Nasemanga hapa tujipange mambo ya property na asset ownership. I recall I was told only celebs and vv rich people do that not a church mouse like me.

The law states that the spouse inherits and thereafter the children. Sisters come nowhere, even if they are on the will, husband can contest that

very STUPID comment in this week

The laboso family is very loaded.the late matriarch,Joyce dad has a huge commercial tea, flower & a diary farm(itibo estate)plus real estate in sotik, kericho including a big club they haved leased in sotik.
Unless there’s something we don’t know in the family about the law of succession but when their dad died they were sorted

kids dont matter when you are dead. Its a state of non existence.
