wana brothels, ju wengi wetu hatuwezi ishi mdaa mrefu bila kuosha rungu?

Hawa watu huangalia tu exchange rate ya currency bila any other variables hunishangaza sana. Does that fool on Twitter know how hard one would have to work to earn “thao mbili za Kuwait?” One Kuwaiti Dinar is equivalent to 3 US dollars, so “thao mbili za Kuwait” is over 6000 USD.

Hehe. Hii heaabu ya foreign currency Kuna mahali hunipiga chenga.

Suppose you have USD 1000 ukiwa Kenya it’s equivalent to ksh 130,000 and it can do wonders here in Kenya.

Suppose you have ksh 1000 ukiwa UG it’s equivalent to ugsh 30k but you will find that that the ugsh 30k will allow you to purchase goods worth ksh 1000 in Kenya. Does this mean hii ksh shilling haina value in UG.

Watu walifanya finance nichanueni hapa. Hii kitu inanipiga chenga saidi.

Haimaanishi utalipwa 30k salo ya huko. May be 50 bob ya huko.

Approach it from a purchasing power parity (PPP) viewpoint. From the PPP perspective, UG’s economy is larger than Kenya. Similarly, Chinas economy is larger than the US of viewed from the PPP angle. So, the KSH will purchase more in UG but less here. A dollar will purchase more in China but less in the US. You see why we need an international currency that can be traded in every economy. Just to add, a strong currency can signify a strong economy. However, that’s not always the case. See Zambia’s case where the Kwacha is quite strong but not the economy

Nilikuwa nataka kumtusi but guess your answer is better

Mbona umutusi :D:D:D. Changia mjadala

Depends on how rich a country’s economy is. Currency from a rich economy will buy more in a poorer economy, but only when used to buy non-imported goods. The same USD 1000 might buy less in, say, a European country than in the US. In the same way, KShs 1000 will buy slightly more in Uganda or Tanzania, but this is mostly locally produced goods. Note that this has nothing to with the size of the figures that appear on the exchange rate.

Purchasing power parity, relative power parity, spot rate , I remember all these shit from university

Shhhh it’s ktalk, worst second place next to a baboon sanctuary, followed by a bonobo hospice

Only makanga wa kayole Dio ushoutia strangers vile walieda University .

There is something called purchasing power parity yaani PPP. The late prof Magoha explained it to us when UoN lecturers were striking wanting salaries kama majuu

True that wakenya wako uko izo jobs za mkono unaskianga wanalipwa 100/150 unashangaa…kumbe ni currency iko juu

Thanks for this information. :meffi:

Nmeshukuru sana kaka.

Thanks.

Just so you know Twitter imejaa wale wasee hawakuwa wanashikanisha any kwa class… mtu anapata 12% kwa maths sasa anaeza anafundisha nani kuhusu forex? Normalize ignoring semi-literate fools.

Mujamaa itabidi umeoshea hio rungu yako kwa sink

Maybe nibonge na Abdul aulizie cuzo yake pale Kuwait city
