I once saw a mkokoteni with both hands severed at the wrist. Matatu ilimshikia breki and his hands got caught between the bar and the back of the matatu.

There was a day my car was in being cleaned huko in a carwash in kitengela. Some nutcase with a mkokoteni hit the car while transporting his nonsense. Scratched and dented the rear of the car just above the wheel.
I charged the guy 10k down from my initial 12k. At first he said he didnt have it and only had 3k. So i commandeered his mkokoteni and confiscated it till he brought the balance.
