I dont know why people depend on France anymore. France is a superpower of the past. Their economy is okay but not great. Engineering a thing of the 70s. Remember citreons, peugeots, renaults etc. I would rather tag on the Germans. There is really noting you can get from French that you cant affordably get somewhere else. Even better to claw on the Chinese but watch that they don’t chew your ass.

3 part series “French-Africa Connection” by al jazeera describes how the French ‘plant’ leaders in former colonies. A former senior French official discloses that Bongo’s opponent had won in the last election but results were interchanged. Seems same has been repeated.

I’ve only watched part 1 and was shocked by Bongo Sr influence in France that at one time he interviewed 6 french nationals and later recommended them to Chirac for cabinet positions. The 6 became ministers.

Former French colonies are poor than former British colonies. The French fucked up their colonies and continues to shaft them to date, with an exception of Haiti and a few others.

Actually Haiti was treated very badly because it was the first black nation to declare its independence against France. They were forced to pay a huge loan at exorbitant interest rates to France because they dared to kick out the slave masters.

[I]The French adopted a policy of annihilation.
They ensured all infrastructure developed by them, in their colonies, including railway lines, were uprooted before Independence.
They also ensured illiteracy reigns supreme in their colonies.
Left none of them with an established respected University.
To date, citizens of some of their Sub Saharan colonies have to go to Paris to acquire a university degree.

Good example: Britain left Nigeria with highly world wide respected Universities. France did not do so in any of it’s West African colonies.[/I]
