try telling folks here that UG and TZ aren’t asleep, and you’ll be met wit lots of arrogance. land plays a huge role in production of goods and services, and that’s one resource that is way much over priced in .ke, which in return jeopardizes the production of goods and services.
He is correct but it is a complicated matter that starts with policy and deliberate decisions to make our products competitive… Then this starts with a competent leadership. We do not have these basics…
Do you think that Kenyan producers, farmers, etc have deliberately chosen to be expensive? With the countless regulators and a zealous tax agency and a Government that overborrows, how do you expect to make our products cheaper than others?
to begin with, UG and TZ have way much stable rain patterns than we do, most of our arable land is under cash crop, which is mainly for export. our population is growing fast and agriculture is being abandoned at an alarming rate. for instance how much money has counties in the pastoralist communities inject into beef farming ?
