What’s with rankings on Ktalk, :-sijui “New villager”, Villager", “Senior Villager”, "Village elder” and now i hear a new ranking is being born christened “Great villager”.
What do these rankings endeavor to achieve?
The Hindu caste system is meant to discriminate based on skin complexions, the light skinned Indians with brown hair and grey eyes directly fall in the highest caste while the dark skinned Indians with dark hair and dark eyes fall in the lowest caste.
Same thing the modes are doing here, discriminating according to “contribution”
A talker may have just a few contributions but the few contributions carry more weight than some other talker who has 1000 listings.
It’s like we are back in standard 3 all over again where pupils are rewarded with stars for good deeds and stripes for “not so good deeds”
Which reminds me?
By the end of 3rd term when i was in class 3 i had 6 stars for being number one every single time we took an exam and 46 stripes mainly for fighting in school, making noise in class, playing practical jokes on fellow pupils, parents and teachers, skiving afternoon classes and going to rowallan camp or another place we called zero pipes to fish, being in possession of “game and watch" and a Walkman in class, kissing a girl in class and many more not so good things
But the bottom line is that i turned out just fine
To me these rankings don’t make any realistic sense at all, just an age old tactic used by control freaks to divide and rule
i have been here since dec 2014 and am a senior villager while some other MF joined 36 hours ago and is now a senior villager as well. "in 36 hours ?, big joke , been here for one whole fuccking year
