How long did you guys think you’d continue making money off these apps before the government, which built the infrastructure you’re using, decided it’s time to recoup it’s investment?
What is manual about Meta deducting and sending money to KRA? It seems pretty straightforward to me. Uber/Bolt etc have already been doing it, no?

Withholding tax ni Sawa and it doesn’t have huge costs to process because it’s Meta that is responsible. I have been paying witholding tax on my royalties ata za 2k

Hapa ndio watu wengi hushikiwa na KRA after filing NIL at the end of the year yet the system has a record of some withheld income tax… Tax AUDIT PAP!!

Even if it took 5 minutes per audit, which is manual contrary to fake claims of automation. So that is around 500,000 working minutes, or 347 working days just to follow up on a mathaka who owes you 250 bob. Ata fair ya kumfuata na pesa ya kuprint court papers imezidi 250 bob

KRA Audits are pervasive… they will ask for your M-Pesa and bank statements for the last 5 years… now let us see what that means… you have to explain all credits or they will simply tax it and impose penalties and interest…
