Konyagi vs public land

Stupid article from most likely a stupid wilbaro pushing tangatangata. Here are the facts:

 1. Public universities are national government parastatals/institutions and the nairobi governor has nothing to do with their operations and their land.
 2. KU hospital is a parastatal which was allocated land that was formerly owned by KU university and is free to develop its land as it wishes. The WHO center has been operating from KU hospital for some time and there is nothing wrong with them putting up their own facilities. In these govt/donor projects, the arrangement is that the donor gives the funds while the govt provides the land.
 3. The KU VC had gone to the press opposing developments being undertaken by WHO and KU hospital and the president was right in reminding the VC that yeye ni tu mdogo sana and that only an idiot would oppose such developments that benefit the whole country and east african region. The VC should not poke his nose in the operations of another parastatal.

Exactly. The hospital is a different entity and a different parastatal from KU. The hospital was not built by KU rather the hospital was built by the national govt with partnership with the chinese govt. The problems we are seeing are the result of the beef between the former KU VC (and current KU hospital CEO) Prof Mugenda and current KU VC Prof Wainaina.

Na wewe unalamba gani kati ya hao wawili?:meffi::meffi::meffi::meffi:

But the hospital is built on a land whose title belong to KU

kwani KU ni private? KU and all its land is owned by govt and the govt is free to build govt projects on any govt land it deems suitable. Hata wewe you are free to put up any development on any part of your own land.

fun fact ;KU medical students huenda Mama Lucy kusomea huko .The management of the university and the hospital dont see eye to eye

Yes it’s obviously a hustler article but you can’t just dismiss it , Konyagi 1 is just giving fodder to tangatanga idiots !

Land tussle
The university and the hospital have been warring over the land, with the varsity saying it was hived off without its knowledge.
Speaking to the press last week, Kenyatta University vice-chancellor Paul Wainaina said the idea to grant land to WHO was not in the best interest of the university as no consultations were done and they were not involved.

tuko nyuma ya Uhuru , hii ujinga yote munasema ni propaganda

Sounds like something the greedy neo colonialists would do…Sri Lankan is heading to Kenya very fast

If the two are on public land why do KU have to seek approvals to use the hospital for their students.
By default that should be the hospital to use.

Exactly. Can’t fathom why go to Mama Lucy while you have if not better exclusive and UpTo date tech and brains next door? JKUAT are accessing KCB which is on their land easily. UON applies same with KNH and vet services. Kama Jayden amelipukiwa ukweli isemwe.

@MseeYule kuna swali uliuliza ati why the evil family wants KU land. Read this article.
