You can get all that you need in the Satellite districts of Westlands, Upperhill, Nairobi West, Karen, Eastlands, Mombasa Road which are nearer most peoples homes! City centre has really run down.

Why would anyone need to shop kwa Naivas iko uptown CBD when Naivas ziko karibu kila estate/satellite town? The same goes for night life. Isipokuwa a few people like me wenye shughuli zingine CBD, most people see no need of going to town because local clubs upped their game. Sio kama kitambo when the only place worth raving ilikuwa CBD ama Westlands.

I also blame police harassment. Hauezi tembea past 8:30pm in peace. If they can invest in more clubs within cbd then inaeza saidia kidogo.

In as much as the amenities in the outskirts have improved, anyone who was in Nairobi before 2010 will agree that the city has gone to shit. I remember when Westlands was lined with huge trees and such. The people are poorer, the streets dustier n dirtier, boda, tududus kila mahali, Chinese trinkets everywhere, crowds kama za Mumbai aaai I despise that place
