The population here is 50 Million. Say you hear of the murder of even 20 people in a day that’s just 0.00004% of the population which is pretty insignificant on the large scale no offence to the victims. Lately It’s also become a media trend to report intimately on every death hence you find yourself connecting on a personal level with the victim which is actually a beta male trait .(sorry to the victims i couldn’t resist with the Beta thing :D) Reporters will usually say stuff like “she was a sister…” “a university student in…” not because they want you to know she had a sibling or was at a university but to get you to relate to the story on a personal level. Usiku unalala feeling sad and you don’t even the reason you having a bad mood. Welcome to the information age.
Anyways what am saying it’s not that more people are dying than before, just that the information age is spreading in the country and you get access to more information than before reported on a more personal level.Valar Morghulis.
