As a Kikuyu, I think the Western Kikuyu community (those west of MT Kenya) is facing a number of external challenges that i dont think can be tied to Ruto. In summary, my observations are as follows. We once drew massive economic benefits from our proximity to the city. However, as the city expands outwards, we are pushed further inland. We now cry of being displaced. Alcoholism is another serious issue. Other tribes have displaced us in key economic fields. Dont forget, devolution meant a better distribution of national resources. Riggy G understands all these. He is promising a Canaan that is no longer tenable particularly in the absence of Imperial presidency.
