Works very well with automatic change over switch. Sometimes hata huwezi jua stima imeenda until you hear the beep or look at the controller. Then these devices are wifi and Bluetooth enabled for management via mobile or web based apps.
You can check on System status from anywhere and call beck home waache Kutumia energy intensive devices such as microwave oven or iron boxes.

Complex systems (kama yangu) can be expensive, but simple systems can be quite cheap to set up.

If they just upgrade the panel to say, 300w, that will power a home theatre, smart TV and many lights comfortably

Once you do all that, do you claim a tax refund or ? Anyways, KPLC should have a reverse mechanism on their grid.
That way, those with solar can sell their excess output to kplc.

You have the choice to use Solar panels. You can make arrangements to use mains power when there is continuous cloud cover
