Kericho Governor Threatens Kikuyus With Dire Consequences If They Don't Back WSR 2022

Kericho Governor Paul Chepkwony has warned the Kikuyu community against reneging on its promise to support Deputy President William Ruto in 2022.

He said the Kalenjin community banks on Mt Kenya to ensure Ruto becomes president.

Speaking at St Theresa Catholic Church, Mogogosiek, in Konoin on Sunday, Chepkwony said the Kalenjins will fully support President Uhuru Kenyatta next year.

“We are now fully in Jubilee [Party] and behind Uhuru and Ruto. But in 2022, as per our agreement, we will want Mt Kenya to reciprocate the gesture by backing us. We have no doubt they will do it,” he said.

Chepkwony warned the region that if it does not “give back” by supporting the DP, such will be met with serious repercussions.

Who told him ALL kalenjins are voting for Uhuruto like they did in 2013? Many kalenjins feel played by the Uhuruto gov’t. Even most saperes from Muranga have said they will vote for Baba after they realized jubilee govt is backstabbing them by planning to make muranga have no water and we all know water is lfe. In the history of our politics, if you see a group banking hopes and begging the other to support them for elections that are seven years away, know that it’s lost. Ruto has burned bridges because he falsely sees the entire Central Kenya and their entire kindred in the Rift valley as potatoes in his basket. Added to his constituency that are yet to recover from the siege mentality since Moi left office, he can now move around insulting everyone opposed to him without the slightest compunction. That’s how hustlers accidentally thrust into high positions begin their fall. A potential Kikuyu voter in 2022 is now about 12 yrs old and telling them about Ruto and how he helped Uhuru will be like playing guitar to a goat.

Kabisa kura yangu to DP Uncle William Ruto is never in doubt. Wachana na Gov. Chepkwony, a nice, simple gentleman who made the mistake of looking abit close to gov. issac ruto long enough to inspire his rivals to start campaigning for his seat. He is now facing stiff competition for the Jubilee Party ticket. In the counties politics is local you have to inspire the community defender tag now to get the seat and once outside the county you play regional or national politics. Remember DP Uncle William Ruto was in Bomet last week wiping the Jubilee Party machinery to another Kericho wave just like in the by-elections. Gov. Chepkwony knows if he doesn’t look loyal enough to the voters he will fail at the nomination. Same script was done successfully by Gov. Mandago in Moi V.C recruitment heat. Expect similar stunts from others.
