Kenyatta Family Ksh. 500 Billion Northland City

This Kenyatta’s family Ksh. 500 billion project city. Why does it look like a 5 star hotel?

All that money (5 billion dollars) and this is the best you can do. Ama hii ni phase 1.

Sio City Zote hujengwa once kama St. Petersburg. Ukijenga City hivo tu, iko na high probability of failing kama Chinese Ghost Cities, na ile ya Myanmar (pictured below). The safer way is to build a core with the core services (administration essentially), then build the horizontal infrastructure (sewerage, power, roads, telecom, internet etc) then leave the Vertical Infrastructure (Buildings essentially) to Entrepreneurs.

There has to be a main atttaction for a new city. Either it’s a huge shopping center, an industrial center, or a overflow of an adjacent city ( to keep rents affordable). Otherwise it will fail. And exactly how you design plays a key. If it’s an industrial center, you must build and get plants working before you start relocating population.

Damnn I never knew this. The city above looks nice and decent.

A greek saying basically meaning no need to rush stuff, let things follow mutaratara or procedure, you start somewhere…just like while making that rice greeks make mixed with ndengu, you have to be patient till the water or soup dries out otherwise utakula uji…kitu kama hiyo:cool:

Phases. I read somewhere that it’s supposed to be complete in the 2050s. This is a beautiful project and a good alternative to Nairobi.

The city above is empty. Ukiishi hapo you have highways to yourself, streets to yourself and total peace.
