Doctors who have just graduated aren’t specialized. So your friend can’t be a gynecologist and recently graduated. Pick one.
Why not train them?
I think the problem with doctors lies in devolution; GoK pays interns salaries, but they have to be posted to the counties for that 2year (I think) period. Perhaps someone in the field could clarify if counties have to request interns first.
What I have heard though is that counties are not retaining the interns after their attachment, which means there is a large number of doctors who are now hustling huku nje.
My friend graduated with a Master of Medicine degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the UoN LAST YEAR
Then your friend is not a graduate doctor. He’s literally a consultant. There’s a huge difference!
