A quick disclaimer - yes I am a “Mzungu”, and I’m aware people have differing opinions regarding such people but anyway.
I have visited Kenya on and off for about 8 years, and lived in Nairobi between 2019- present day. What has inspired me the most isn’t the beaches, animals or dare I say attractive ladies but the general population. Those who hustle at Thika road and else where 12+ hours a day, those who sell there products in Kisumu or Mombasa, and the manual workers providing a living for their family members. The human strength in difficult circumstances which I don’t have experience of at that level is inspiring, remarkable and enlightening. The entrepreneurship even in this economy far surpasses that of any western country. Sadly, some people still have the colonised mindset when they themselves are a lot better, just they don’t realise it.
You guys are an awesome bunch, and have always welcomed me with open arms. Those who have received Kenya’s hospitality to a high degree should give something back - jobs jobs and jobs. And regarding jobs, use the countries currency to an advantage? The west has high inflation, they want more competitive pricing here are some recommendations / ideas which Kenya can take advantage of more substantially:-

[li]Online teaching notably Arabic, Maths or Computer Science.[/li][li]Online fitness coaching.[/li][li]Marketing business focusing on the Asian market specifically.[/li][li]Programming - disclaimer this is my area. Takes a while to learn.[/li][li]Export of clothing - made in Kenya not made in Vietnam.[/li][li]Airbnb Experiences[/li][/ul]
These are just some ideas I’ve come up with and could be talking out my ass. Have a great day ahead.
