I stumbled over this the wondered why Africans would build godown-like structures, only to be used as a church. There would be immense benefits if one would open a factory instead. Thousands of jobs would be created in the same structure supporting thousands of families thereby lifting them from poverty. What’s your thought on this?

Kenya the only “industries” you can engage in without having to fight authorities every 2 seconds asking for licenses is real estate(flat) and the church !
Any other industry kila siku watu wa knajo , NEMA ,MCSK, and a million other abbreviations will be at ur door , don’t forget you can wake up one day and find the govt declared ur industry illegal or they have approved cheap imports making u useless with dead stock, or power has gone up by 15% thats why kila mtu anataka kuwa na flat ! U fight kanjo for a few months until complete then from there ur home free ! and no one can fight the “church” for fear of being called illuminati !
