Kenyans now enter the fray of Qantas scrap with Canberra Airport

The public bust-up between Qantas and Canberra Airport has taken another unexpected twist, with a senior Kenyan diplomat now entering the fray.
Last week the former chair of Australia’s competition watchdog, Graeme Samuel, likened the aggressive behaviour of Canberra Airport to something out of Somalia or Kenya.

In response, Kenya’s high commissioner to Australia, Isaiya Kabira, has rebuked the comparison in an open letter sent to Fairfax Media.
“While it is in your full right to express your outrage, we find it extremely unfortunate that you draw parallels of inefficiency and imagery of piracy to a respected and much-admired airport of Nairobi,” Mr Kabira wrote. https://www.canberratimes.com.au/national/act/kenyans-now-enter-the-fray-of-qantas-scrap-with-canberra-airport-20180527-p4zhsm.html

The whole world knows Kenya is full of shit, we should never be mad toward such remarks

Last time their PM was mad that Kenya has faster internet than them

This will be funny when the Somali ambassador writes to defend Mogadishu.

Really? Wapi rink?

just google “Turnbull Kenya internet speeds” utaziona

eg this Malcolm Turnbull defends NBN rollout, says comparison to Kenyan internet is 'rubbish'

Equating Kenya to Somalia is a stretch. If he doesn’t respond, Kenyans will be complaining that he is not doing his job. Let us not forget that what happened there, was that a car was used to block a Qantas plane from taking off until they paid AU $18,000 after their flight was diverted which means they are playing in the amateur leagues. Have you ever heard of that happening in Kenya? The Australians are better educated now and if the Qantas CEO was so ignorant, he may actually know there is an airport in Africa suitable for his planes to land in.

Their airport is relatively secure with a secret CIA base within it, Turkish Airlines fly there regularly. The risk of being shot at or blown up of course remains.

“Qantas does indeed hold Kenya and Nairobi in high regard,” group executive Andrew Parker wrote to high commissioner Isaiya Kabira.
“We regularly promote your country in our various digital and marketing platforms and in our Qantas Magazine, which has a circulation of over four million readers.” https://www.smh.com.au/national/act/more-drama-at-canberra-airport-as-qantas-address-kenyan-comment-row-20180528-p4zhzr.html

Airline industry group boss Graeme Samuel has made an “unqualified apology” to the Kenyan high commission after unfavourably comparing Canberra and Nairobi airports. Mr Samuel, who is also the former chair of Australia’s competition watchdog, last week likened the aggressive tactics of Canberra Airport to something out of Somalia or Kenya. https://www.canberratimes.com.au/national/act/airline-industry-group-chair-writes-unqualified-apology-to-kenyans-20180530-p4zie9.html https://www.nation.co.ke/news/diaspora/Kenya-envoy-to-Australia-Isaiya-Kabira-in-spat/2107720-4596746-114anjt/index.html

Prof. Graeme Samuel is obviously not sincere. He only fears the repercussions of his actions i.e accusations of racism and loss of his job.

Australians are the worst forms of bottom feeding white trash.

They’re all over Singapore, Malaysia, Bali and virtually everywhere else making a nuisance of themselves.

The locals have had enough of their boorish behaviour.
