First of all i would like to send my condolences to the family of the kenyan who has just lost a life after yesterdays riots in nairobi. I saddens me that the political mood in the country is constantly rising and being left unchecked could spell disaster for the country. It takes many trees and years to make a forest but it only takes one moment and one matchstick to burn it down. The reason i choose to stay around ktalk is because i loved the minimal political debate that was carried out in an orderly and mature way unlike in kenyanlist where anarchy and tribal bigotry hate speech and incitement were the order of the day until it was flagged down by the cohesion commission, this village is slowly metamorphosing into that going by the comments and threads recently. Kenya being an island of peace in a region full of conflicts needs to set a pace for other countries to emulate. kenya is what it is because of all of us regardless of the community you were born in . We draw our strength from our diversity and as such we should embrace it and not let the politicians divide us. As someone who has interacted with almost everyone from all corners of the country i will tell you for free that every contribution of each and everyone is what makes the great kenya what it is. Lets arrest this situation before it gets out of hand for if not the price we will pay will be dear.
Paragraphs, punctuations!
That aside, it is sickening what we do in the name of āpoliticiansā, yet when someone dies, they make no effort to support the family.
Now they have to figure out how to start life without him.
Nice , nothing could be further from the truth
Nilifunuga facebook asubuhi and the images were all over, I wonāt be logging in for sometime now.
if a guy died pole kwa familia mostly if he /she had kids BUT, Kwanini ulienda demostrations. Afathali ungeenda mjengo ulipwe 500 worked for na familia hawangepata bills
Everyone wants to be a part of something. If a politician tricks you into believing you are fighting for a good cause and it ends up costing your lifeā¦ point is thereās enough blame to go around.
Kenya is not a dictatorship. Thereās room and the environment for constructive dialogue. When a few who are the minority want to have their say but they wonāt recognize and respect the right of the majority to have their way, then expect more and worse than you already have seen.
And while we are at it, it is saddening the way we have become used to criticize those who have no other way of doing things when they do their thing, while we, albeit unwittingly, exonerate those who have so numerous other ways of fronting their grievances! I pity the policeman whose onus is to lob a canister of tear gas to disperse the hooligans!
What is happening right now in .ke is that someone who said that he would honour the outcome of the past elections but never really did is finally forcing his narrative on the world, and systematically trying to erode that lovey-dovey middle-ground.
The more smoke, blood, gore and polarization there is, the greater the chance that foreigners will demand to intervene and broker a āsolutionā. When democracy fails for you, destroy it like a kid who punctures the ball in a losing match.
Police have the rights too ā¦ why are they armed ? someni katiba
As much as the joblessness factor cannot be over looked, the Kenyan youth needs to start viewing these politics from a different angle. Itās not worth to die or get hurt while demonstrating over IEBC, These politicians will just talk and soon you will be forgotten and come next week on Monday maybe another one or two will bite the dust. Let those who wish to be elected come 2017 take it to the streets with their families and as we all know āwanatafuta uongoziā
Why would anyone in their correct senses be caught demonstrating together with these Politicians who are quickly whisked away by their bodyguards when chaos erupts and the so called supporters are left to feel the wrath of the law enforcers? ITS NOT WORTH IT!!! kweli ujinga ni kipawa

A thug who left home willingly to go and join demonstraters in order to loot, mug and steal is better off dead.
ION, thereās no hate here on Ktalk, if you want to see real hate go and log in to Facebook and see news updates by media houses. The comments people make there will leave you with no doubt the devil resides in Facebook.
but as people who are claiming to be living in the digital age and social media we should be on the forefront on preaching tolerance
Come on. Donāt play that. So he had something in his pocket; it still does not justify the actions of the policeman.
A stone in the back pocket, a boot in the spine.
Do you know whether heād thrown the other stones at the cops?
To quote professor saitoti āthere comes a time when a country is bigger than an individualā someone is yet to learn the meaning of that sentenceā¦until he understands the meaning we are in troubleā¦
Remember Goliath was 10X that policeman and was killed with a stone. No taking chances.
Anyway, war ni war. In his wisdom, he saw it apt to challenge an armed police with a stone.
No I donāt. But from the picture it looks like he had him already. The extra kicking and beating was completely unnecessary.
Youāre a very stupid bitch.
People are talking about real life issues and youāre here using a fairy-tale to justify the slaying of a man.
Go back to school.
Anyway, war ni war. In his wisdom, he saw it apt to challenge an armed police with a stone.
Police should disperse the crowd, not disperse life.
They managed to clear out the other protests using tear gas, why not use it here?
And police in other countries are also pelted with stones, but they donāt resolve to beat a man to death.
If he was a threat, then the proper course of action was to disarm him, arrest him, and charge him.
People like you are the problem, you want to lay the blame wholly on one side.
How about we hold the protesters AND the police to higher standards?
