Kenyans and Hobbies

Let me ask a kwesson, why do we as Kenyans NOT appreciate arts. How many of us have hobbies? Why do we seem not to have time for Extra curriculum activities ? Growing up, how many of us, had parents who came to cheer them and encourage them in sports Ama music festival?
How many of us are those Kenyans who are always in a rush 24/7, u can’t even chat with folks for 2 minutes ?

The only time a typical Kenyan parent will cheer you is when you graduate with a course degree/diploma or any other higher education certification of their choice.

It all boils down to the levels of self actualisation in Africa, me thinks. Consider majority of Kenyans are in formal employment na hustles on the side. It is a race for the ever scarce unga. The little income from employment and side hustles has to be spread so thin. Time during godly hours becomes so precious. The free time niggars have after a tiring day does not allow them any recreation apart from taking one for the road. Sasa jamaa anaishi Rongai. Akitoka job 5pm, huyo ameenda gumbaru upto 8pm. After gumbaru anapitia stall to reconcile the books only to set off for rongai at 9pm afike 10pm. Hata kama jamaa anapenda extra curriculum activities, atawesmake kweli hio 10pm? Na kumbuka saturday kuna makeup classes huko colle while the kids need to be dropped off at a friend’s house sijui birthday.

That is interesting. I am one person who appreciates good furniture. Do you have some pictures of your work you could share.

Kwani apart from pombe na wanawake kuna hobbies zingine

Hobbies n talents are very simple words that majority of us kenyans dont seem to understand or have time.
7 out of 10 people you ask about their hobbies utaskia hanging with friend (read drinking).
Ikifika ni talents ata usiongee cz almost half of the people i have ever asked this question unapata mtu ata hana clue.
