I have been going through social media seeing Doctors write about what they have to go through because of poor working conditions…can’t imagine what clinical officers and nurses would say…
In solidarity with our resident doctor @luther na #lipakamatender let’s put them here so as to advocate for better health facilities and working conditions for health workers

sasa nitaanza kuhurumia madakitari. vile rafiki yangu mmoja ali graduate as a doc all of us in the neighborhood expected him to be the first one to purchase a car, build house. lakini alilegea tukafikiri ni kua stingy kumbe wanaumia

Of course wale tunawajua watasema hii ni mambo ya CORD na “Baboon” but him and his family will never seek treatment in a public hospital even in the case of whatever emergency…but as Wallace Kantai says one day your Gold plated medical insurance card will not help you in the highways or villages utapelekwa kwa public health facility whether you support the Government or NOT

In this I’m a bit conflicted, I totally emphathize with them when they talk about low pay, bad working conditions, being forced to work long hours, lack of medical cover ad infinitum.
On the other had, even tho. they earn little, doctors are still among the best paid public servants (and I’m not talking about M.Ps, M.C.As, Independent Commissioners e.t.c). @Fala 12 atakuambia what ministry engineers/architects earn. Their only advantage over other professions is the services they provide are essential, so they hold gova. by the balls whenever they strike.

Lakini hawa madakitari ikifika uchaguzi si watapiga tu trbally kama sisi? alafu tunalia sjida iko wapi. kama the qualification ya kua in public office ni kabila then how do we expect the government to prioritize issues. we only have ourselved to blame

on this one. i am with the medics…, walipwe na walipwe salo ya next month in advance. saying UK has failed this country is an understatement. time ya walimu anaita press conference kusema gover haina pesa. sasa daktari wawe na huruma juu gover haina pesa. yet he is launching road development projects every day. hizo projects zinalipwa na bottletops?? ministry of health 5b scandal and nobody has even been suspended only the auditor who found that has been moved. hii kenya bana
