The real problem and ever present danger is the existence of thoughtless lawmakers rubber-stamping every “proposal” which comes from the executive. The making of oppressive laws by those MPs who pretend to represent the will of the people is what enslaves everyone. Without the collusion of Parliament, people like Chirchir would never be in anybody’s cabinet to propose anything in the first place.
Remedy: Parliament must go.
