Kenya is on the verge of debt crisis

Figures recently released by CBK show public debt stands at KShs 3.62 trillion for the period to 30th June 2016. Further analysis shows that the debt rose by 28% against a 13% rise in government revenues. GDP for year ended December 2015 grew by 5.6%.
Last year alone the public debt rose by KShs 789.7 billion. In June 2016 the debt rose by KShs 187.8 billion.

In short uhuru has borrowed 1.8T net in a spun of 39months compared to his predecessor who borrowed 1.2 T net for the 123 months he was in office…Let’s stop living in dennial, Kenya is going the Greece way… May be we can attribute this immense increase to the ballooning wage bill brought by county govts or the numerous infrasturucture projects but still it absolutely makes no logic for a country to borrow this much in a short spun

Didn’t Greece borrow to build new stadiums and generally spruce up their infrastructure for the Euro football tournament??

Kuja na a breakdown of how those borrowed monies have been used up then we can decide whether its time to start moving to Ethiopia.
