Kenya is now poor

Well, to be honest, we’ve always been poor (due to inequality), so you could say were going back to equilibrium until we pass the difficult industrialisation phase in 2045.

99% of people aged between 25 and 65 working in Nairobi today will not afford to retire in Nairobi. At 65 they will be forced to transplant their lives to the village and start a new life. That’s the cycle that the bottom 99% of the urban population has to go through. Property prices in Nairobi and adjacent counties are already out of reach for the average person and it will keep getting worse.
