Kenya Femicide Manufactured Narrative

So a couple of women get killed and then a loaded term like “Femicide” is cast on the entire Kenyan society and we act like this is normal?
Has any of the githeri media houses used indicative statistics from the police like - number of non-robbery murders or number of missing children so that we can truly confirm if women are getting killed in disproportionate numbers?

It’s horrifying how anti-intellectual our society is getting.

The media is in to create more drama and earn more clicks and views by intentionally focusing on the homicide stories involving women.

Editor will get like 5 murder stories but will select one or two that will elicit most emotion from the feminists.

Exactly! When it fits their narrative its called Femicide and they come up with stupid hashtags #justiceforshiko. But when evidence is tabled they switch very fast to bringing out the weaker sex/victim card.

Penda sana vile hizi hashtags dont last a day nowadays. Ata waiguru alijitoa very fast kwa hiyo story juzi ya pastor vile evidence ililetwa kwa kalatas.

Last two years I have had the opportunity to consult for some NGOs and now understand how their world operates.

While they appear in public advocating for rights and support for those suffering or underprivileged, deep down, they pray and hope that the cases will escalate to help them earn more funds from the donors, which is also their only source of income.
God forgive me, I remember last year wishing the El-Niño would displace as many people as possible in Somalia so that the IDP camps will be full and the donors will open their wallets to us to implement humanitarian activities.
