Rocket launches zingekuwa zikifanyika huko Northern Kenya ama Nanyuki Kwa wilderness.
Kenya’s tourism also performs dismally due to the fact that Kenya only sells two products. Hotels and Safaris and those two are exorbitantly priced even for people from top economies.

Arches National park is nothing more than this feature with more of the same (which is really nothing to talk about cos this is the most spectacular). Believe me once you have seen this one you have seen them all. But guess what 1,238,083 people PAID $15 per person to visit this one nondescript site in Utah in 2020. Our tourism industry is really a big fat joke if you ask me :D:D:D. We have sites a million times more attractive yet the whole country struggles to hit 5 million tourists, let alone 10 million
It all translates to using lesser fuel to escape Earth’s gravitational pull. (Escape Velocity is easily attained near the equator) Less fuel means less weight, means bigger payload than if a rocket is launched from Houston or Florida.
If a spacecraft is launched from a site near Earth’s equator, it can take optimum advantage of the Earth’s substantial rotational speed. Sitting on the launch pad near the equator, it is already moving at a speed of over 1650 km per hour relative to Earth’s center.
Elkana there is more to rocket launches than fuel. Foremost is the acoustic energy waste that can destroy the vehicle upon launch. Access to large water sources ensures an effective sound suppression system that utilises water. Secondly, detached rocket boosters and other debris as the vehicle reaches for the stars are easily recoverable at sea than on mainland. Thirdly, rocket building and launches are generally logistical nightmares. Water transport is thus a simpler and cheaper way of moving the components for a successful launch to the launch site. This is not to say that on land launches are not possible najua hauna degree.
We have the biggest desert lake in the work, the water there can be used to muffle the engines during take off. We have everything except Good Managers
Ndio maana Kuna launch pads in Texas na Florida near big sea ports. Lamu can solve that problem it is only a few hundred kilometers from the equator.
By the way ulijulia wapi mambo ya acoustics za propellants during rapid decompression? Some years back I used to be a Wikipedia nerd and I can tell you I used to get lost in Wikipedia.
Naanza na topic Moja eg story ya Kinetic Energy within that article naguza link Moja associated with thermodynamics then huko Kwa main page ya thermodynamics napotelea Kwa links Zingine unapata umewpend two hours na browser ushafungua tabs kama 12. Now YouTube does the same and suggests videos unpotelea huko.
Between January and December, 2.4 million registered bed nights (+34.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 557,000 (+18.2 %) for foreigners in Oslo, in total 3.0 million (+30.7 %) registered nights.
:p:p
Na bado “mnajivunia” ati nchi yenyu ni busara kiutalii?
Iko muhindi alinipiga sweep one time, it almost led to a full blown WW3. Later I realized he was speaking the truth
Alisema sisi Kenya ile kitu inasaidia economy yetu ni Maasai Mara, a natural resource. Ati if we were to manufacture Maasai Mara tungekua tumekufa njaa wote. In short, that racist bastard was insinuating ati NIABM
Y’all speaking as if you don’t know that government jobs (tourism, etc) are about connections and not merit. Mnaexpect mtu amekonectiwa job alete hizi solutions? Na saio anajua ako permanent and pensionable even if only 2 tourists show up each year.
Hapo umedanganya. There is nothing about 160 year industry. Matter of fact, Thailand has much more history than Kenya. 160 years ago, Kenya was not even born.
A relative was looking for holiday destinations for his family. He compared prices for a week’s stay and settled for Dubai. Apparently a 5 star hotel there costs less than a 3* in Mombasa. It was cheaper to fly to Dubai and have his holiday there than fly to Mombasa. When we caught up later he said he’s doesn’t regret the trip.
We need radical steps to improve tourism.
if we don’t do something, Uganda will overtake our numbers in less than 5 years, bookmark this post.
They (Uganda) already have a town upgraded to a city and named it tourism city!!! This means that the city residents can get government grants to put up facilities to cater for tourists, those who have the money get tax breaks. In other words. Kenya needs to pull up it’s socks. In Kenya Tourism Development Fund is there to cater for the damn rich.
He’s not racist at all, just factual.
We have the natural resources. Take the example of the coast region. We’re proud of having great beaches, but how exactly does it translate into revenue? What’s setting it apart that they are superior to Seychelles? We don’t even have patrols on our water bodies. We have nothing that’s separating us from the rest. We don’t have history and we don’t bother with the little.
Bad managers all through.
