Kdf to be deployed in Ituri, north Kivu,south Kivu provinces.

These regions are the hotbed of DRC mess,a successful mission is hoped will cripple rebels and allow all other initiatives succeed,as this is their lifeline.

Kenyan contingent is set to replace South African troops in Monusco.Other than that,Kenya is deploying other units based on defense agreement it signed with DRC.Some of the units to be deployed are:

20th parachute battalion
5th battalion Kenya Rifles (5KR)-including 30SF
Unaccountables e.g intel officers etc like Long Range Surveillance

Everyone wanta piece of DRC. They have the largest deposits of rare metals which the industrial countries including China covet. Mombasa is strategically placed to be the export port and Kenya is securing the path.

People who have been on the ground have confirmed some of those rebels are kenyans who served in Uganda army during EAC early years,they ran there after Idi Amin disbanded everything and told everyone to go home.
Also,it’s said UN vehicles have to raise a Kenyan flag on their vehicles to be spared.Its respected.
So just like Ras Kamboni brigade,a good number of rebel movements will align with kdf and everyone will get a share of everything in peace.

Seems the Turkish imports were going to DRC not Somalia.

That’s great, keep the soldiers busy with real work. They make some more money in the process. An excellent win win situation for everyone. Now we’re fully in charcoal and gold business. Let’s hope no escalation that leads to them stopping bullets happen
