Following the Notification of the First Sitting, and the Declaration of Vacancies in the offices of the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker by the Acting Clerk of the National Assembly, Ms. Serah Kioko, Wiper Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has picked nomination papers for National Assembly Speaker post while former National Assembly deputy speaker and Dadaab Mp-elect Farah Maalim has picked nomination papers for deputy speaker post. The duo are backed by Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition that has “legally” slim majority of 167 MPs over Kenya Kwanza’s 158 MPs.
