As a scientist myself, am of the opinion tht the should have given him time to explain himself. He has invested alot to reach that position.
I stopped being employed almost ten years ago and am no longer interested in salaried boring 8-5 jobs.
Being proficient was one of the things he should have acquired by the time he got to that position.
From insider info, Kagwe is supposed to do daily announcements from around 3 in the afternoon. But on that day, their Chinese masters had brought some donations and Kagwe and co abruptly decided to go to the airport to receive and make the announcements early. They had not communicated this time change early enough and seeing as the Kemri scientists inspite of their very high IQ are yet to master the art of predicting Kagwes intentions, of course the report was not ready. From what I deduced, this was about the scientists rightly demanding for PPE as well as a share of covid billions to be invested for covid research at kemri. For some reason, the billions we are hearing the government has used little has reached kemri where almost all Kenyan testing and research is happening. You would think quiet a chunk would be invested there.
that said, if the same demands and professionalism they are applying to the scientists are applied to them, they would have been the first to go.
