In reference to my previous thread “Entertaining Poverty” http://www.kenyatalk.com/index.php?threads/entertaining-poverty.22995/ what I meant is that there are those who “jinyima” while they have balance in their M-Pesa or Bank Accounts that can help them live an understandable life.
…and that is what is called Entertaining Poverty. For example you’ll find a guy bragging on how he can “chafua” the table in a drinking joint yet he can’t afford a packet of milk for his family, at leat a white tea in the morning. Such a “Mama” could be having a balance of a certain amount in her M-Pesa account but she can’t help live a better life. Why should you have money kept for future reference or emergencies if you can’t live an understandable life.
Entertaining Poverty in Swahili is “bado tunajikaza tu”. That bulshit of “kujifinyilia” is the key point in that thread.
Spend what you’ve today and leave tomorrow to fate.
