Project milestone:
Nachu tunnel under #SGRSection3#SGRPhase2A has successfully been breached this morning. Its the first tunnel which has been successfully breached in the construction history of SGR project.
Congratulations to #SGRSection3 for a job well done! #SGRProgress
This rail will somehow change Nachu , na vile Pattmos Investment wamekuwa wakijaribu kuniuzia plot huko but due to lack of cash and also the place being so remote though if am not wrong it’s still Kiambu County.
Mingi sana, sasa CV zao includes tunneling the second longest tunnel in Africa in 12 months. CCCC are probably the best contractor in Kenya and maybe Africa now. Their project execution is very impressive. SGR Phase 1&2A and now Lamu port. Work is done 24/7 and everything is synchronized to the second.
Credit also to CAEC SGR Consultant, they are the supervising engineers for SGR Kenya. They are present in every cement pouring, every nail and every inch of construction to supervise CCCC-CRBC work on the SGR and sign the thousands of inspection documents to verify quality of build. If they don’t sign it has to be redone. They won the $400 million inspection contract of which they are required to submit $100 million as performance bond to KR. If anything is attributed to poor workmanship in 10 years of operations then that $100 million is cashed by KR.
CCCC is the Chinese parent company/owners of CRBC Kenya. They have now taken up the firm fully following Beijing directive to rapidly expand its public/private projects in Kenya, the region and Africa. A those accusations are being investigated. The truths, misconceptions and lies will be known soon.
We have ensured stable & controllable construction by strengthening quality control of newly supplied raw materials, determining model projects before construction, managing by means of information technology platforms during construction & regular carrying out quality inspection
