I appreciate on behalf of the Government of Kenya the continued development assistance that the Government of Japan has extended to Kenya since beginning of bilateral cooperation in 1964. Today we signed a loan agreement for the Mombasa Special Economic Zone Development Project 1. The cost is Kshs 38 billion at 0.1% interest with a grace period of 10 years after project completion and thereafter it will be repaid in 28 years.
