Most of this road has now received at least one layer of tarmac. The pace continues to be blistering. Here are some updates I took on July 4th:

Donholm Underpass:

It stretches nearly 1 km long and has one interchange at Manyanja road and an “overpass” roundabout (my guess) at Donholm road: Manyanja road interchange below. The main Jogoo road is being diverted to connect here:

At Donholm road, they will have a roundabout above the underpass: In the photo below, you can see the Manyanja road interchange in the distance

The photo below is of the same “overpass” but facing the opposite direction. This overpass and the one in the distance will form some form of roundabout at this junction.

They should have done away with the roundabouts completely. Good progress anyway.

They are not roundabouts but simple interchange. There is one large U turn forced by an ongoing court case on that section. However the contractor has promised to deliver the project in 1 months time. Lets await the final outcome to see how it goes.

The junctions at both ends, with Thika rd and the other one on the Eastern Bypass are poorly thought out and designed.
The one with Thika road is already causing traffic flow chaos on both roads.
