#turkana reminds ruto
But of course, Thats the usual noisemakers and robots. The people of Turkana don’t need domo domo but development. Here they are getting the tarmac roads, power substations to bring electricity to rural homes and technical training institues to train youths (who didnt qualify to join university) to train them on different skills.
Good job on the Lorugum-Lorengipi and Todonyang - Lokitaung - Kalokol roads! When these get tarmac it will be B-E-A-UTIFUL!
Why would you ‘launch’ a road and use it as a campaign tool? Isn’t that their job? Besides, by now shouldn’t the road be already done - where have they been for the last five years? Development is good and positive, I agree, but if the government wants another term by ‘showing’ us what they have done, then they should expect to be judged by what they have not done.
If citizens realize rights from gifts, they will be so much pissed. blame it on lack of reasoning that we pay taxes for such services. I don’t go against such things, actually i embrace each and every project that comes through not just because some guys will be employed, but rather it reminds me of leaders who despite stealing, remembers their cause.
By now we are used to this little noise here and there. Previous governments failed and people complained. This government goes ahead and brings the development and here goes the noise of why show us you are working and fulfilling your promise. :D:D:D
It’s called being accountable to the people and the Turkana people aren’t complaining. Power to their mud houses, roads and learning institutions. They are now firmly part of Kenya. :):)
In a country that is renowned for hunger and rampant corruption, anyone who steals from the public should be imprisoned immediately. If they remembered their cause, as you say, those people dying of hunger together with their animals would have been offered some or any kind of help. To worsen matters, they are stealing money taken on loan.
The governments of yore could easily steal and get away with it because majority of the citizenry was illiterate and access to information was an uphill task. Further, Moi would ‘kill’ any media house that could try to tarnish his name.
Now we have free education, internet and the media is somewhat free.
The day we stop making noise trust me there will be zero development from your so called leaders. I wonder whether you have ever been to a developed country so that you know that there is no development here. You are amongst those whom I would never want as my leader because you believe that the citizens deserve the least and not the best. If you are comfortable with the ‘development’ you talk about while over half the taxes we pay ends up in a few people’s pockets, then this country might never be fully developed. You are the kind that is okay with bribing the police then when you are robbed, you claim the police are corrupt.
